The following are some of the techniques used in sessions:
A gentle, flowing massage which promotes blood flow, circulation, deep breathing and relaxation. Slip into a state of grace and return refreshed and wonderful.
Deep Tissue Massage
Gets in there and gets the “junk ”out. Designed for hard working people who need real work. Trigger points, adhesions, scar tissue, injuries and pain from accidents are greatly relived here.
Myoskeletal Alignment Technique
This deep tissue work requires you to be an active participant in your treatment plan as we strive to achieve proper body alignment and balance. It incorporates muscle balancing routines, deep breathing, and joint stretching for treating common pain conditions. The goal is creating length-strength balance in all soft tissues including your muscles, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and joints. This treatment includes a 13-point myoskeletal assessment and a postural analysis to identify and correct common strain patterns before they become pain patterns. Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques may provide relief of: scoliosis, chronic back and neck pain, headaches and migraines, SI joint dysfunction, rotator cuff injuries, trigger points, sciatica, and much more.
Myofascial Release is a specifically focused series of stretches designed to help those with soft tissue problems. Fascia are thin tissue surrounding every muscle in the body, and are the focus of Myofascial Release. When you are injured, your pain, and the resulting tightness, are often caused by contractions of your fascia. The treatment itself differs from person to person as the practitioner finds the individual pain within each person and helps them stretch to loosen their fascia and return them to their natural state. This is a calming process, and more than a few people have reported drifting into a calm sleep during Myofascial Release.
Active Isolated Stretching
The Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) method of muscle lengthening and fascial release is a type of athletic stretching technique that provides effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups, but more importantly, AIS provides functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.
In traditional stretching you may hold a position for as much as 60 seconds. But that prolonged stretch decreases the blood flow within your tissue, can causes lactic acid buildup and puts unnecessary stress on your joints. In Active Isolated Stretching we use a gentle 2 second stretch that increases oxygen and nutrition to muscles and can improve your range of motion by up to 30% in just one session!
Aromatherapy is the science and art of using whole, distilled, flower and plant essences to promote physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Blends are custom crafted for each session and personally designed for your healing.
Reiki is an energy technique discovered By Dr. Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk. "Reiki" is two Japanese words, Rei, and Ki, meaning "Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy". This process facilitates the movement of positive energy through your body. Many people who receive Reiki describe a feeling of radiance across their body, and Reiki has been said to help heal anything from simple stress to sickness.
Corporate Chair Massage
Why provide chair-massage for your employees?
Massage therapy programs help to increase job satisfaction and create a caring environment that employees really appreciate.
Massage can significantly improve employee problem solving abilities. A recent study in American Psychologist gave one group of workers a fifteen minute rest, and another, a fifteen minute massage. The group that received massage performed significantly better on complicated skills such as math problems. Massage also improves creative thinking and relieves fatigue.
Massage is proven to reduce blood pressure, relieve arthritis, and improve joint and muscle aches especially in the head, neck and back area, and even increase immunity to colds and flu. More importantly, massage is excellent in preventing the pain and numbness in regards to keyboard and mouse use.
Our team is wonderful!
All of our Massage Therapists are CT State Licensed and Insured. All Massage Therapists on our team have completed a course of instruction which includes anatomy, physiology, hydrotherapy, massage techniques, law and professional ethics.
Therapeutic Massage in your office space.
Our team members have all had experience in performing corporate office seated massage techniques. We work with your employees to ensure they feel safe and welcome. We use disposable covers for the face cradle of our massage chairs. Afterwards, both the chair and the therapist’s hands are cleaned with disinfectant to ensure a germ free workplace. We abstain from wearing any strong scents or perfumes.
Chair Massage takes place directly through your clothes. It will help you feel alert, refreshed and ready to get back to the job.
We realize the office is a busy place, so we will work with you to create a pleasant, fun atmosphere. Some casual lighting, soft music and even aromatherapy is utilized, so we all have a welcome rest from the pressures of the day to day workplace.
The program works best with an in-house coordinator to secure a location preferably with a window, floor lamp and if possible a CD player. They would post information or remind employees of updates and to secure their time on a sign-up sheet and help us receive the payment at the end of the day, or in a reasonable amount of time
These are just a few guidelines; let us help you develop a program that works best for you and your employees.
Then we can come in and do what we do best.
